Labor Day Weekend more like :( September 1, 2006

I tend not to look ahead to far, and only recently have really tried to keep an active marker on what my future will be and how to get there, but simple things still elude me. My upcoming weekend is going to suck. Everyone has such big plans for their last hurrah of the Summer, and I didn’t realize until today that Jen was ditching me to go to Ashland with her family once again, I have no real desire to play WoW for 3 days straight, and essential nothing to do or eat. I guess I was looking too far ahead and missed out on what’s right in front of me, a very lonely weekend of me and the Cat… oh and Lumines.
Lumines is a puzzle game for PSP, it is freaking rad, I already talked about it on my 1up blog so if you are interested, which really you probably shouldn’t be go check it out.
Most notably I have been trying to save money, despite buying Lumines yesterday. Jen and I went grocery shopping, yes thrilling I know, but started to really take into account what were spending, what would be consumed, what would be wasted, and would it be worth it in the end. I used the crude analogy of “it’s like living in the pioneer days!” since every things counts, better not to waste and want things that weren’t really any good for us so we can do something better with the money. Looking back at this makes me feel old, or maybe just poor, but it’s good to have someone else to go through these things with.
Oh, I almost forgot that my laptop aparently might kill me so now I get to send away my battery, which was easy enough to arrange but I’m sure will be far more painful in reality when they can’t manage to find a time to deliver it and it takes and extra 3 weeks to get to me or worse yet I have to take a bus down to a fedex way the fuck in the industrial area of downtown.
So a boring weekend ahead, where I will hopefully develop some intricate plans that would keep me so absorbed that next Wednesday will be here in no time, not that it brings with it anything besides more work.
